Scott Wilk: Composer
Scott Wilk is a Los Angeles-based, Oberlin Conservatory-educated composer-producer. He uses his extremely diverse musical experience to his clients' creative advantage.
A former Warner Bros. and Capitol recording artist, Scott is fortunate to have his music & lyrics airing all over the world. Bette Midler, James Brown and Grace Jones have recorded his songs, to mention a few; Warner-Chappell, Quincy Jones and Emerald Forest publish hundreds of them.
Film scoring credits include four of director Martha Coolidge’s movies, including cult hit “Valley Girl,” and Paramount feature, “Plain Clothes." His songs have appeared in pics like “Beverly Hills Cop II” and “Revenge of the Nerds," and TV shows including "Family Guy". Scott and former music partner Todd Yvega scored over 110 episodes of network TV, including Paramount’s Emmy-nominated “Duckman” and two Disney shows, the #1-rated "ABC's One Saturday Morning" and "One, Too!"
In addition, Scott has extensive experience creating music for advertising and corporate events both in the US and in Japan. 2011 U.S. clients include Charles Schwab and Colgate-Palmolive; numerous Japanese clients include Japan Rail, Kirin Beer and NTT, for whom he scored a TV spot that won an International Clio Award and the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Festival. In 2011 he also created an animation music library for production music powerhouse, Megatrax.
Scott toured the world as musical director / keyboard player for Charlie Sexton, appearing on MTV New Years Eve and live TV shows in Japan, France and the U.K.
